The brightly emerging light that is Settle Down is back with two DJ exclusives that hark back to the exciting DIY creation ethos that blossomed during Jungle’s heyday.
‘Overgrown’ draws inspiration from by some of the classic ‘Jungle Mania’ tracks of the early 90s and was written with raves like the Notting Hill Carnival in mind. A recognisable yet twisted sample interlaced with a sprinkling of Jungle’s most important building blocks come together to form a potent DJ weapon for the party, for the good times.
Double AA side ‘London Jungle’ brings 1993 rapidly bundling into 2023. Hooked around a handful of classic lines from one of the music’s most important documentary's, the track acts as a commentary on the genre’s current popularity and the excitement that has been rekindled around it.
