For the latest volume in Planet E's long-running Detroit Love compilation, label boss Carl Craig has handed over to DJ Holographic (real name Ariel Corley), a rising star of the Motor City scene. It's a hugely entertaining collection told, with Corley doing her best to showcase artists on the up - from both Detroit and elsewhere - as well as established stars of the underground. Musically, it's as diverse and mixed-up as you'd expect, kicking off with revivalist Afrobeat (Underground System), slick deep house (Pontchartrain with Javontte) and revivalist '80s soul (Shri Schwartz), before taking in everything from broken house and nu-disco, to sci-fi techno, sleazy warehouse jams, sleazy acid, percussion-rich Latin house and much more besides.
Iconic Live trio, DJs & Producers Aroma Pitch are back on Public Possession. After having released their Maxi EP “Oxi Rain / Water Air Water” we are very proud to deliver the follow up, their debut Album “Interlife”. Connecting the dots between multi faceted musical influences this Album is bringing together a long legacy of headphone listening to Jazz, jamming in Studios & Clubs, performing on Raves, soundtracking car rides and musically up-lifting daily lives. We have been fans for years and this incredibly diverse record is setting it into stone. Jesse, Julius & Magnus won our hearts forever.
Sapphic royalty Jennifer Loveless has gone global, but Around The World is landing back, and better than ever on Butter Sessions with a hot, hot rush of sun-kissed & heavily misted Summer anthems. The 6 track audaciously freaky EP slinks, scoots and toots with a consistent perpetual drive towards the serotonin convention mirage looming on the horizon, dust kicked up and not settling down any time soon via endless slap-happy basslines and bucked up beat downs. From top to tail the record delivers mid range sweet-spot dirty house, laced with pulsing progressive atmosphere and crowd-pulling percussion; Reverse Cowgirl 2 conjuring a loopy four2thefloor crescendo…surging to climax! It’s hard not to Fall In Love, the totally major and melodic hits keep rolling like a rowdy rotisserie. Albeit this signal of a stomping glo-up, Loveless remains impossible to pigeonhole; thanks to her deep rooted flair and intrinsic passion stemming from a lifelong and timezone defying flame for Muzik.
