Fronted by long-time collaborators Françoise d’Argent and Benny Badge, “So Good To You” showcases an evolution for Silver Linings and the duo's signature Soul-Boogie sound.Bolstered with session work by fellow Melbourne locals Harvey Sutherland (Keys, Drum Programming), Silentjay (Saxophone), Lachlan Peavey (Bass) and ring-ins Automart (Guitar) and Tyson Ballard (Vibraphone), these drafts became an intricate fusion that would see elements of Soul, Jazz and Electro layered with classic R&B arrangements and production etiquette.Describing the result of this unique ensemble can only be done by looking at its highlights. Moments such as “Start It Over” and the brooding “34th Floor” are an ode to UK Electro-Jazz; there’s the Sade-esque “Waiting For Your Love”, whilst “This Time” and “So Good To You” are a nod to Street Soul Legends Loose Ends and 52nd Street among others.
In 2006, Arie released her third album, Testimony: Vol. 1, Life & Relationship, a beautiful collection of songs about lovers parting and the after ache. The album gave Arie her first number one spot on the Billboard 200 and was her second chart-topper. It also served as Motown's first number one album in 12 years. The album was nominated for three Grammy Awards including Best R&B Album, Best R&B Song for "I Am Not My Hair," and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for "I Am Not My Hair."
