Originally released on Studio !K7 Records in 1998, Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister's groundbreaking release, 'The K&D Sessions' reset the bar for what could be achieved in a compilation. Across an array of original tracks, dubs and infamous K&D Session remixes, the DJ and producer duo took the listener on a smoke-filled blunted journey that flowed flawlessly.Often compared to DJ Shadow's 'Endtroducing' for it's similarly deft craft of rhythm and quoted by Allmusic as "the most blissfully blunted music the world has ever heard", the album has sold over 1,000,000 copies to date and was included in Spin's Top 20 albums of 1999.The album has long since been deleted on Vinyl with original 4LP sets changing hands for $300+ on the collectors market and even a bootleg vinyl copy will set a buyer back over $100. Sixteen years later, this legendary album will be available as a long overdue 5LP reissue remastered by Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood.
Trans-Europe Express (German: Trans Europa Express) is the sixth studio album by German electronic music band Kraftwerk. Recorded in mid-1976 in Düsseldorf, Germany, the album was released in March 1977 on Kling Klang Records. It saw the group refine their melodic electronic style, with a focus on sequenced rhythms, minimalism, and occasionally manipulated vocals. The themes include celebrations of the titular European railway service and Europe as a whole, and meditations on the disparities between reality and appearance.Trans-Europe Express charted at 119 on the American charts and was ranked number 30 in The Village Voice's 1977 Pazz & Jop critics' poll. Two singles were released: "Trans-Europe Express" and "Showroom Dummies". The album has been re-released in several formats and continues to receive acclaim. In 2014, the Los Angeles Times called it "the most important pop album of the last 40 years".
Urban Waves Records present Jesse Koolhaas an Amsterdam based sound designer and soundtrack composer. For this album titled "Organized" he gathered talented jazz musicians to help him create an organic blend of downtempo electronic music with jazz improvisations and dreamy melodic atmosphere.Organized is just that, a spiritual journey that will transpose your senses and open a window to Jesse's incredible inside world. Imagine looking at man made industrial cold and rigid perfection and nature's warm and beautiful imperfection. This album is the place where both these things unite and make good resulting into a fresh experience and journey. From start to end Organized will tell you the story of a dreamlike adventure. Just let the music take you away and open your senses. Trust us and take a leap of faith, it's the beginning of something wonderful.
