Sydney space funk trio, The Goods, are Badmandela, Rosario & Black Tree. With the help of some friends, The Goods capture the energy of jamming and improvisation to create music that transports the listeners to a moment in time shared together on their new album 'II'.Musically and lyrically ‘II’ is about living in the moment. Each track harnesses the mood or vibration in the room at the time of its inception. The album features 20019's breakaway hit “Let’s Roll” featuring Touch Sensitive (Future Classic), a reminder that mood is about choice...if happiness is a state of mind then why not chose it? “Last Chance” is an invitation to take life by the horns because, in these uncertain times, one can’t take anything for granted. “Voodoo” is that one flame, whose flaws you overlook because they got the mojo while “Walking On Fire” is a nod to band's 80s heroes mixing the likes of Luther, D-Train, and Jam with a future club feel. "Peach" is an anthem for sexual liberation & at the same time being a cheeky funk jam. “Shots”, the album single was born at a jam at Touch Sensitive’s studio - Disco J rocks up a drum loop and turns it into a party! The Beastie Boys meets Marvin Gaye meet Anderson Paak in “Cassandra” resulting from a hang with The Goods’ friend Elliot Hammond of well known Australian band The Delta Riggs, while “Tell Me” is a sexy late night joint for those nights on the prowl. “Che Boog” is an ode to the sleazy funk of Parliament, Funkadelic and Prince , and lastly the Black Mirror inspired “Supersonic” is a tale from a time-travelling consciousness stuck in a dystopian 2020.
Urban Waves Records present Jesse Koolhaas an Amsterdam based sound designer and soundtrack composer. For this album titled "Organized" he gathered talented jazz musicians to help him create an organic blend of downtempo electronic music with jazz improvisations and dreamy melodic atmosphere.Organized is just that, a spiritual journey that will transpose your senses and open a window to Jesse's incredible inside world. Imagine looking at man made industrial cold and rigid perfection and nature's warm and beautiful imperfection. This album is the place where both these things unite and make good resulting into a fresh experience and journey. From start to end Organized will tell you the story of a dreamlike adventure. Just let the music take you away and open your senses. Trust us and take a leap of faith, it's the beginning of something wonderful.

Fela Kuti (1938-1997) was a Nigerian musician, producer, arranger, political radical and outlaw, and the originator of Afrobeat. A titanic musical and sociopolitical voice, Fela’s legacy spans decades and genres, touching on jazz, pop, funk, hip-hop, rock and beyond. After graduating from Trinity College of Music (now Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance) in London, Fela returned to Nigeria with his band Koola Lobitos. Fusing the sounds of Jazz and Funk with the traditional African music he had been raised on, his star status began to flourish.EMI, his label at the time, saw the true power of his musical creation, what we now know as Afrobeat, and brought Fela and his band back to London. The result was ‘London Scene’. While recording, Fela began his friendship with Ginger Baker, who plays uncredited on the track ‘Egbe Mi O’.‘London Scene’ is the beginning of what would become Fela’s signature Afrobeat style and serves as a great introduction to Fela’s music. Recorded and remastered at none other than Abbey Road Studio. This 50th Anniversary edition of the classic Fela album comes on red, blue and white splatter vinyl, with a gold foil obi strip that will be the hallmark of all of the Fela 50th Anniversary reissues.Liner notes by the legendary Chris May.Fela recently came in second place, behind Tina Turner, for the fan vote for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominations and received great press coverage in NY Times, Rolling Stone, MOJO, Record Collector and more.
